Successful Partnerships
Foodservice Distributor - 3663
Convert2Green has worked with foodservice distributor 3663 and vehicle manufacturer Scania, to establish the most efficient bio-diesel mix for their delivery fleet.

Convert2Green has supplied over 3 million litres of bio-diesel to 3663 in the past year, which has saved the equivalent of over 7000 MT of C02 compared with mineral diesel.

Convert2Green works in close partnership with 3663 in the identification of waste oil supply and collection from 3663’s customers and suppliers and in researching other ways of carbon saving in their business.
Vehicle Manufacturer - Scania
Scania have worked with 3663 and Convert2Green to analyse the different fuel blends that can be used in their vehicles and the service regimes that accompany these.

In conjunction with 3663, this has allowed a Scania fleet to run a B30 mix, with no resultant changes in servicing regime.

Scania are happy to warranty their engines to a B100 mix, should that be required.
Contract Caterer - Cygnet Catering and Compact Catering
Convert2Green is working with Cygnet Catering and Compact Catering, divisions of Cygnet Foods Ltd, to utilise waste cooking oil for bio-fuel in the company’s road transport and power systems.  The initiative forms part of Cygnet Foods’ enactment of ISO 14001 environmental management system.

Convert2Green manage the oil collection from across Cygnet’s catering estate and undertake the processing to bio-fuel.  The bio-fuel is then used in Cygnet’s fleet of commercial vehicles delivering school meals and to drive a new combined heat and power system (CHP) at their central food production unit in Nottingham.
Pub Group - Frederick Robinson Ltd
Frederick Robinson Ltd and Convert2Green have worked together on a proposition for the pub tenants, which involves recycling and collection of waste oil.

Many of the tenants have decided to donate the revenue from the scheme to charity.

Robinsons is also utilising a biomass combined heat and power system (CHP), fuelled by the waste recycling scheme to reduce the carbon footprint of the manufacturing site.

Frederick Robinson is the first brewery in the UK to have such a system.
Restaurant Group - Nando’s
Nandos have designed an environmentally friendly restaurant in Leeds which includes a large number of sustainable initiatives.

One of the main features of the initiative is the Convert2Green bio-fuel generator which provides all of the electricity for this state of the art eatery.

Convert2Green manage the nationwide collection of waste cooking oil from the Nandos estate and supply bio-diesel to the vehicles which deliver to the restaurants.
Local Authorities & Primary Care Trusts - Oldham Council and NHS Oldham
In keeping with many public sector organisations, Oldham Council and NHS Oldham both have significant targets for carbon reduction and for the energy performance of their new buildings.

In partnership with Green2Go, Convert2Green manage the collection of waste oil from schools, colleges, leisure centres and public recycling centres throughout the borough and use the bio-fuel processed from the waste to create sustainable bio-fuel, ‘Sustainfuel’, to drive combined heat and power systems (CHPs).

The CHP’s are planned for 3 new buildings in the borough – the Integrated Care Centre (ICC) in Oldham town centre and Chadderton and Royton Health and Wellbeing Centres.
Local Authorities & Primary Care Trusts - Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
In partnership with Green2Go, Convert2Green is working with Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust to provide a bio-fuel combined heat and power (CHP) system for their state of the art Cornwall Food Production Unit (CFPU).The unit aims to produce its own Cornish food for patients residing in hospitals in Cornwall. The bio-fuel CHP unit supports the sustainability aims of this unit and the locally sourced hospital food programme.
